Project Game ON public announcement and press conference

On April 4, former North High principal Gene Haynes, along with Mayor Jean Stothert and other city and community leaders, announced that Viking fans will look forward to a long overdue advantage: a game-changing home field and a beautiful new stadium for football and soccer. A brand-new Butler-Gast YMCA to better serve the North Omaha community is also part of this impactful project, named Project Game ON. For YMCA members, it’s Game ON for health, wellness and community engagement, as they gain new opportunities to elevate their fitness, build connections and thrive like never before.
